Our top fitness trends for 2023

    28th December 2022
    fitness trends for 2023

The fitness industry is EVOlving constantly. Over the last decades, we’ve seen it go from a hobby for a few to a worldwide business that is vital to millions of people. Since its beginning, we’ve seen plenty of fitness trends come and go: some are timeless and still stand, while others quickly disappeared.

After all, as happens with all industries, the fitness sector also makes predictions for its future, including thinking about what will be hot tomorrow. Here’s what we think will be the top fitness trends for 2023.

    5 fitness trends for 2023

1 – Wearables and fitness trackers

Yes, we know it’s a reality already. Recently, we even ranked wearables and fitness trackers. However, like most technology, they’re continuously tweaked and improved to enhance your fitness experience. They will become more powerful, with longer-lasting battery power, and collect different types of data; cheaper and more comfortable to wear. That’s why one can expect that even more people will have one on their wrists while working out in 2023. To the future and beyond!

    2 – High-intensity workouts

From Tabata to EMOM or AMRAP, there is a plethora of HIIT workouts out there. HIIT stands for High-Intensity Interval Training, a form of interval training that alternates between intense bursts of activity and rest periods with reduced intensity. This type of cardiovascular training will make you push as hard as you can during those active periods, which is why a HIIT session is usually no longer than 30 minutes. And that’s why its popularity will grow even more: short sessions, big benefits.

    3 – Mobile fitness apps

With great wearables comes great mobile apps. Sorry, Spider-Man, we had to do it. Besides wearables, mobile apps are another way technology will be on fitness trends for 2023. By 2026 their revenue can grow over 30 billion euros. Activity tracking, dieting, workouts or tracking kilometres — apps cover a good chunk of our fitness journey, which makes them a powerful tool to help you achieve your goals. All EVO members have access to our exclusive app, where they can find workouts, and tutorials or even book PT sessions.

4 – Flexibility and recovery training

Recovery can be so much more than just resting. From massage guns to foam rollers, gym goers are searching for ways to reduce injuries and speed up recovery. Plus, these tools also help improve flexibility without impairing strength, they bring you faster fitness results; all that, while improving your posture. However, if you’re not looking for any of these benefits, you can count on these tools for a simple but effective self-massage.

    5 – Corporate wellness

Recent events such as the great resignation and quiet quitting have shown companies the importance of valuing their workers. A better work-life balance is usually at the center of the discussion, but employees also complain about wages and demand more perks. That’s where corporate wellness enters: a set of benefits an organization implements to enhance the well-being of its workers. One of that can be a free membership to a local gym. We might be a little biased, but we know the perfect gym for that: ours. So, if you’re trying to implement a program like this or just trying to give a hint to your boss, don’t be shy and contact us.
