EVO boutique fitness chain arrives in Switzerland.
The boutique Norwegian fitness club chain EVO, opened their 41st EVO Fitness Club, and the first in Switzerland – with their exclusive license partner Holmes Place – on 5th March 2015 in Geneva.
The concept is attractively simple: convenient location, best in class equipment, spacious, limited membership, no crowding, and no contractual commitment. It’s a self-regulated club that is manned only by Personal Trainers, with simple online registration and entry with a wrist band. The first Geneva club in Rue de Lausanne is spread over 600m2 and will be open from 6am to 11pm, 7 days a week.
EVO focuses on the things that really matter to people who use gyms, and does not include traditional services such as a reception area, restaurant, classes, or spa. At the core of the concept is a strong training philosophy and identity that helps to drive the innovative club design, as well as ‘best in class’ Personal Training. In short, EVO is everything you want in a gym, and nothing you don’t.
Morten Hellevang, CEO EVO Norway says, “So much has evolved to empower consumers in all areas of service whether it be hotels, airlines, or restaurants – but much less so for fitness clubs. EVO was created as a boutique fitness concept that is designed to give the gym-user exactly what they want. Convenience, quality equipment, cleanliness, and no crowding – all in a respectful environment’.
