Membership
How do I become a member at EVO Fitness?
Simply register at evofitness.ch. Click on “Join now” in the top menu, choose between the No Commitment or 12-Month Commitment membership, and complete the registration form. Once you’ve entered your personal and payment details, you’re all set as an EVO member.
What types of memberships are available at EVO?
You can choose between two membership types:
* No Commitment Membership
* 12-Month Commitment Membership
How much does a membership at EVO cost? Are there any additional fees?
* No Commitment Membership: 79 CHF/month
* 12-Month Commitment Membership: 59 CHF/month
At signup, you’ll be charged a membership fee for the remaining days of the current month, plus a 69 CHF joining fee. There are no additional hidden costs.
What is the minimum contract duration?
It depends on the membership type:
* No Commitment Membership: Can be cancelled at any time from day one. After cancellation, it remains active until the end of the following month, which will also be charged.
* 12-Month Commitment Membership: Minimum duration is 12 months.
Is there an age limit at EVO?
Yes, the minimum age is 18 years. You may be asked to show ID. If a member is found to be under 18, the membership will be terminated without refund. In special cases, 16- and 17-year-olds can join—but only if the registration is completed on-site and in the presence of a legal guardian.
Can I change from the No Commitment to the 12-Month Commitment Membership?
Yes! Just send an email with your full name and member ID to [email protected]. The 12-month commitment will start on the first day of the following month.
Can I transfer my membership to someone else?
Yes, transfers are possible. Please contact our support team at [email protected] for more info and to start the process.
Can I share my membership with someone else?
No, EVO memberships are strictly personal and may not be shared. Using or lending your access chip to others is prohibited and can result in immediate termination of your membership.
Access
How can I access the club?
After signing up, you’ll receive a temporary access code valid for 30 days. Within that time, you’ll need to pick up your personal access chip at the club. You can collect it during staffed hours, which you’ll find at: evofitness.ch/club-supervision
I didn’t receive my access code. What should I do?
Unfortunately, sometimes the SMS messages with the code are not correctly delivered. Please contact our support team and they will provide you with the code: [email protected]
How do I get my access chip?
You can collect your member access chip during our staffed hours. Check the current schedule here: evofitness.ch/club-supervision
I didn’t pick up my access chip within 30 days. What now?
No worries! Just contact your EVO club, and the team will send you a new temporary PIN code. You’ll find all contact info here: evofitness.ch/contact-us
My access chip isn’t working. What should I do?
Sometimes the reader needs a reset. Press the # key, wait 10 seconds, and try again. If the problem continues, contact us at [email protected].
I forgot my access chip. What can I do?
Contact the staff at your EVO club. They’ll provide you with a temporary access PIN. Find your club’s contact info here: evofitness.ch/contact-us
Can I get a temporary PIN if I forgot my access chip?
Yes! Reach out to your EVO club by phone or email, and they’ll send you a temporary PIN. All contact details are available at: evofitness.ch/contact-us
I lost my access chip. What now?
Log in to MyEVO and order a new one under My Membership > Access Chip. A fee of 15 CHF will be charged to your payment card. The old chip will be deactivated, and you’ll receive a temporary PIN via SMS to use until you pick up your new chip.
I cancelled my membership. What should I do with my chip?
Once your membership ends, your chip will be deactivated. Feel free to dispose of it—or keep it as a small reminder of your time at EVO.
I used to be a member. Can I re-activate my chip?
Yes! After signing up for a new membership, just contact our staff. We’ll happily reconnect your wristband or chip to your new membership.
Can I train at more than one EVO club?
Yes, in most cases your EVO membership gives you access to all EVO clubs in Switzerland. Some memberships may be limited to specific clubs—check the details in your membership terms, available under “My Membership” in your MyEVO profile.
Can I train at EVO without a membership?
Access to EVO clubs is reserved for EVO members and authorized partners (e.g. MyClubs).
Before joining, you can sign up for a 1-day free trial at: trial.evofitness.ch. Please note: the trial is available once per person.

All EVO clubs are open 365 days a year from 6:00 to 23:00 – even on weekends and public holidays.
The only exception is EVO Zurich Schaffhauserstrasse, which has slightly reduced opening hours and is open daily from 7:00 to 22:00.

When are the staffed hours of my EVO club?
You can find the staffed hours for your EVO club at evofitness.ch/club-supervision.
These are the times when an EVO team member is on-site to assist with questions, chip collection, or general support.

MyEVO
What is MyEVO and how do I log in?
Once you become an EVO member, you’ll get access to MyEVO – your personal member area. There, you can manage your membership, update your contact details, view payments, and edit your credit or debit card information.
To log in, go to evofitness.ch and click on MyEVO in the top right corner or go directly to me.evofitness.ch. Use the email address and password you entered during registration to access your account.
I forgot my password – how can I log in to MyEVO?
No problem! You can reset your password at: me.evofitness.ch/password/reset
First training at EVO
What do I need to bring to the training?
Please bring comfortable workout clothes, clean training shoes, a towel, and a padlock for your locker.
Don’t forget your water bottle – staying hydrated is key to a great training session.
Is there a “dress code” at EVO?
Of course there is no real dress code, but we have a few rules and guidelines.
- Please wear clean workout clothes and indoor shoes. Leave outdoor shoes on the shelves by the entrance.
- It is not permitted to exercise shirtless.
- Due to its health benefits, we encourage training without shoes. However, for hygiene reasons please always wear socks.
Are there specific rules and guidelines at EVO?
At EVO, we value a respectful and supportive training environment. Please follow our EVO Etiquette, outlined below and displayed in every club. Repeated disregard may lead to cancellation of your membership.

1. SHOES OFF
Please remove your street shoes and place them in the designated storage units at the entrance. You can train in socks, but for hygiene reasons, training completely barefoot is not permitted. The shoe shelves are for use only while you’re in the club.
2. HYGIENE AND CLEANLINESS
Use a towel and disinfect the equipment after use. Do not leave any personal items or rubbish behind. Keep the changing rooms and showers clean.
3. SAFETY AND ORDER
Choose weights that you can safely control and do not drop them on the floor. Put weights and used equipment back in their place after training.
4. MOBILE PHONE USE
Set your mobile phone to silence and do not use the phone in the training zones.
5. LOCKERS
Only use the lockers while you are training and bring your own padlock. The shoe lockers at the entrance are also only allowed to be used during training.
6. OPENING HOURS
The club closes automatically at 23:00. Please leave the premises in good time.
7. FILMING
Private recordings are permitted if no other people are visible, and their training is not disturbed. Commercial recordings are only permitted with written permission from EVO.
8. PERSONAL TRAINING
Only the external personal training partners of EVO Fitness are allowed to offer personal training at our clubs. Other people who do not have a collaboration contract with EVO are not authorized to carry out personal training at EVO.
9. YOUR SPACE
This is your gym, your space, your time – treat it with respect. Be friendly and supportive to other members. Train quietly, do not block equipment: a positive atmosphere contributes to a better training experience.
Facilities
What training equipment can I find at the club?
EVO Fitness offers state-of-the-art equipment for cardio, strength, and functional training. You’ll find leading brands such as Technogym, Precor, Life Fitness, Woodway, Concept II, and Queenax. Learn more about our equipment and training zones at evofitness.ch/training.
Is there someone to show me how to use the training equipment?
Yes. All new members are invited to attend a free group induction class, led by our qualified staff. You can find the schedule at evofitness.ch/induction-classes.
If you’d prefer a more personalized introduction and a tailored training plan, you can book a session with an external personal training partner. Contact details are available at evofitness.ch/personal-training.
Are the clubs staffed?
EVO is primarily a non-staffed gym. However, during peak times and selected additional hours, an EVO team member is present in the club to help with questions, chip collection, or general support. You can find the schedule at evofitness.ch/club-supervision.
Even outside staffed hours, your safety is important to us – all clubs are equipped with video surveillance for added security.
I’ve lost or forgotten something at EVO. What should I do?
Lost items that are found or handed in will be stored securely in our Lost & Found. Visit the club during staffed hours, and a team member will assist you. View staffed hours at evofitness.ch/club-supervision.
Are there group classes at EVO?
EVO does not offer regular group classes. However, in some clubs, EVO staff or external personal training partners may occasionally organize special group sessions. Check with your local club for availability.
Is there a sauna in the club?
No, EVO clubs do not have saunas or spa facilities.
Can I use chalk while working out?
No, chalk use is not permitted at EVO.
Is there Wi-Fi in the clubs?
Yes, all EVO clubs offer free Wi-Fi. Login details are available in each club.
Can I bring my underage children to EVO?
No. EVO does not offer childcare, and for safety reasons, children are not allowed in the training area.
Can I bring a workout partner who isn’t an EVO member?
No. Only registered EVO members are allowed to train in our clubs. However, non-members can register for a free 1-day trial at trial.evofitness.ch to try EVO before joining.
Are pets allowed in EVO clubs?
No, pets are not allowed in EVO clubs due to hygiene and safety regulations.
Can I work out barefoot at EVO?
Yes, barefoot training is encouraged for its health benefits. However, for hygiene reasons please always wear socks.
Are there lockers at EVO to store my belongings?
Yes, EVO provides lockers for your personal items during your workout. Please bring your own padlock.
Lockers are for temporary use only and must be emptied before leaving the club. Any lockers left locked after closing will be opened and items placed in Lost & Found.
Can I leave my belongings in the locker overnight?
No. Lockers are for day use only and must be emptied before leaving the gym. Any locker still in use after closing will be cleared, and items placed in Lost & Found.
Are there showers at EVO?
Yes, every EVO club is equipped with showers.
Do you provide towels at EVO?
No, towels are not provided. Please bring your own.
Is there music in the gym? Can I play my own?
Yes, all EVO clubs play background music to support a motivating training atmosphere.
For the comfort of all members, personal speakers or loud music from mobile devices are not allowed. You’re welcome to use headphones for your own music.
What should I do if I feel unwell or get injured while training?
Stop training immediately and seek help from EVO staff. If no staff is present, please contact emergency services. Emergency contact details are displayed near the entrance of each club.
Is EVO wheelchair accessible?
Yes. EVO clubs offer various accessibility features, including ramps, elevators, and accessible changing rooms. For more information, contact your club directly. Find details at evofitness.ch/contact-us.
Do you provide first aid at the gym?
Yes, all EVO clubs are equipped with first aid kits, and our staff are trained in basic first aid. If no staff is present, please contact emergency services. Emergency contact details are displayed near the entrance of each club.
Can I take photos or film my workouts at EVO?
Yes, you can but you need to follow these rules:
- You must get permission from anyone in the background to film or take pictures.
- If anyone asks you to stop filming or taking pictures, you need to stop immediately.
- Keep your setup out of the way of other members and don’t block equipment.
- Be respectful of those around you.
Personal training
How can I book a session with a personal trainer?
Go to evofitness.ch/personal-training, choose your preferred external personal training partner, and contact them directly by email or phone. Please note that these trainers operate independently of EVO Fitness.
How much does a personal training session cost?
External personal training partners set their own prices, independent of EVO Fitness.
To find out the cost of a session, please contact your chosen trainer directly. You’ll find their contact details at evofitness.ch/personal-training.
Can I book a session with a personal trainer without being an EVO member?
No. Only EVO members are allowed to train with a personal trainer in our clubs.
I am a personal trainer. Can I offer my services to EVO members?
You may only offer personal training at EVO if you have a collaboration contract with EVO Fitness. Providing services without such an agreement is strictly prohibited and may result in the cancellation of your membership and your clients’ memberships.
Can I bring my own personal trainer?
No, that’s not allowed. Only trainers who have a collaboration agreement with EVO are permitted to offer services in our facilities.
Referral
Is there a referral program at EVO?
Yes! Every EVO member has a unique referral code they can share with friends and family. When someone signs up using your code, both you and your friend will receive an exclusive special offer.

Can I refer more than one friend and get multiple discounts?
Yes, absolutely! For every friend who signs up using your referral code, you’ll receive a discount on your membership fee. More friends = more discounted months.
Payment

What should I do if my card transaction is declined?
If a payment fails, you’ll receive an automated SMS and email notification. Here’s what to do:
- Update your payment info: Make sure your registered card is valid and active. If you’ve received a new card, update it in MyEVO > Payment.
- Enable online/3D secure payments: Confirm that your card allows online and recurring transactions.
- Check your balance and limits: Ensure your card has enough funds and isn’t hitting a daily/monthly limit.
- Contact your bank: They may have blocked the transaction – reach out for clarification.
- Try another card: You can add a new card in MyEVO if needed.
I can’t update my credit card in MyEVO. What should I do?
We recommend using Google Chrome on a desktop or laptop. If issues persist, please contact us at [email protected] for assistance.
Can I check my membership payment history?
Yes. In your MyEVO account, you can view all monthly payments and download your receipts.
Why is EVO charging me 0,10 CHF?
This is a temporary card verification, not an actual charge. It confirms your card is valid and disappears automatically after a few days – no money is deducted.
I need a receipt for my membership payments. Where can I find it?
You can download receipts from your MyEVO account under Payments: me.evofitness.ch/payment
I have a new credit/debit card. How can I update my payment info?
Log in to MyEVO, go to “Payment”, and click “Update credit card”: me.evofitness.ch/payment
Can my monthly membership be charged on a different day?
No. At EVO, all monthly membership fees are charged on the 1st of each month, and this date cannot be adjusted individually. However, if we have not succeeded in charging you the monthly fee on the 1st of the month, the payment system will attempt to charge your registered payment card every night until the payment goes through.
I can’t pay on the 1st of the month. Is that a problem?
As long as your payment goes through before the end of the month, your membership stays active. Nevertheless, you will receive automatic payment notifications, but you can see these as a reminder. You can train as usual despite the late payment.
I cancelled my membership but was still charged a membership fee. Why?
EVO has a 1-month paid notice period, which means that after cancellation, your membership remains active until the end of the following month.
During the cancellation process in MyEVO, the exact end date of your membership was clearly displayed on the screen. Shortly after cancelling, you also received a confirmation email stating the last day of your membership.

Membership cancellation
How can I cancel my membership?
As an EVO member, you manage your membership through MyEVO. To cancel, you must log in to MyEVO and process the cancellation yourself. Requests to cancel your membership via staff, email, or letter will not be accepted.
After completing the cancellation, you will receive an email confirming the termination of your membership.
The membership will end according to the terms and conditions of your contract.
* If you have a No Commitment Membership, your membership will remain active until the end of the following month after cancellation, and that month will also be charged.
* If you have a 12-Month Commitment Membership and cancel before the end of the 9th month, your membership will remain active until the end of the 12th month. If you cancel after the 9th month, your membership can be cancelled monthly with a notice period of 3 months.
Why can’t I cancel my membership?
First, make sure your membership is not frozen or paused. Memberships within a freeze period cannot be cancelled. If that is not the case, please contact our support team at [email protected].
Also remember:
* No Commitment Memberships have a 1-month notice period.
If you cancel today, your membership status will be shown as “in cancellation” and remain active until the end of the following month, which will also be charged.
* If you have a membership with a commitment period, you can view your cancellation terms in MyEVO, under “My Membership” > “EVO membership terms and conditions.”
Can I reverse the cancellation of my membership?
Yes, as long as you are still within your cancellation notice period (your MyEVO status will appear in orange and say “Membership in cancellation”). To reverse the cancellation: Log into MyEVO, go to “My Membership”, and click to reactivate your membership.
Once your membership has ended completely (status in red and says “Cancelled membership”), it cannot be reactivated. In that case, you will need to sign up again for a new membership.
How long is the cancellation notice period?
* For No Commitment Memberships: Once cancelled, the membership remains active until the end of the following month, which will also be charged.
* For 12-Month Commitment Memberships:
* If cancelled before the end of the 9th month, the membership runs until the end of the 12th month.
* If cancelled after the 9th month, the membership can be cancelled monthly with a 3-month notice period.
I ended my membership but would like to become a member again. How do I do that?
You will need to sign up again at signup.evofitness.ch. Please note that you will also need to pick up a new access chip.
I’m moving to another country. Can I cancel my 12-month membership early?
Yes, you may cancel early in the following exceptional cases:
* Relocation to another country
* Moving to a region within Switzerland where no EVO clubs are available
To qualify for early termination, you must provide official documentation confirming your relocation. Once verified, your membership will end at the end of the following month. Additionally, for the duration of your membership until cancellation, the pricing of the No Commitment Membership will be applied retroactively, and you will be charged the difference in fees accordingly.
I’m moving to another city in Switzerland where there are no EVO clubs. Can I cancel my 12-month membership early?
Yes, you may cancel early in the following exceptional cases:
* Relocation to another country
* Moving to a region within Switzerland where no EVO clubs are available
To qualify for early termination, you must provide official documentation confirming your relocation. Once verified, your membership will end at the end of the following month. Additionally, for the duration of your membership until cancellation, the pricing of the No Commitment Membership will be applied retroactively, and you will be charged the difference in fees accordingly.
Freezing / pausing your membership
Can I freeze/pause my membership?
Yes, you can freeze your membership for up to three months per calendar year. To request a freeze, log in to MyEVO, go to the section “My Membership”, and click on “Freeze membership”.
Freezing costs 20 CHF per month and must be requested in the month before you want the freeze to begin. The freeze period always starts on the 1st day of the month and cannot begin on any other day.
You can unfreeze your membership at any time. If you do so, you’ll be charged a training fee for the remaining days of the month.
If you freeze a 12-Month Commitment Membership, the commitment period will be extended by the number of months your membership is frozen.
Please note: Memberships cannot be cancelled during a freeze period.
Can I stop the freeze period of my membership?
Yes, you can unfreeze your membership at any time. Once unfrozen, you will be charged a training fee for the remaining days of the month. To unfreeze, log in to MyEVO, go to the section “My Membership”, and click on “Manage freeze periods”.
Can I cancel my frozen membership?
No, frozen memberships cannot be cancelled. If you wish to cancel, you’ll first need to unfreeze your membership. To unfreeze, log in to MyEVO, go to the section “My Membership”, and click on “Manage freeze periods”.
After unfreezing, you’ll be charged a training fee for the remaining days of the month and can then proceed with the cancellation.
Can I extend the freeze period of my membership?
Yes, you can extend your freeze period. To do so log in to MyEVO, go to the section “My Membership”, and click on “Manage freeze periods”.
Please remember, freezing costs 20 CHF per month and can be done only 3 times per calendar year.
Can I pause my membership for medical reasons?
Yes, you can freeze your membership for up to three months per calendar year. To request a freeze, log in to MyEVO, go to the section “My Membership”, and click on “Freeze membership”.

Yes! You can try EVO 1 day for free. Just fill out the form at trial.evofitness.ch, and you’ll receive an access code via SMS. The code is valid for 1 day within the next 7 days.

7 day free trial
What is the 7-day trial?
On special occasions and events, EVO offers a 7-day trial in addition to the regular 1-day trial. This gives you the chance to try out our clubs completely free for 7 days.
Is the 7-day trial a membership?
No, the 7-day trial is not a membership. You can cancel the free trial at any time on MyEVO within the 7-day period. However, if you don’t cancel by the end of the 7th day, you will automatically become a member.
How can I sign up for a 7-day trial?
Go to signup.evofitness.ch and enter a valid 7-day trial promotion code in the “Promotion/enrolement code” field. These codes are usually distributed during special occasions or events.
How can I get a 7-day trial promotion code?
7-day trial promotion codes are typically distributed during special campaigns, occasions, or events.
How does the 7-day trial work?
- Sign up at [signup.evofitness.ch](https://signup.evofitness.ch/) using a valid 7-day trial promotion code.
- Receive your EVO access code via SMS.
- Try EVO 7 days completely for free.
- If you’re happy with EVO, do nothing – on the 8th day, you’ll automatically become a member with the No Commitment Membership and the terms shown at signup will apply.

How many times can I sign up for the 7-day trial?
You are allowed to use the 7-day trial only once. If you attempt to sign up more than once, your access will be blocked and you won’t be able to join EVO.
What’s the difference between the 1-day and 7-day trial?
* The 1-day trial gives you a single entry to one EVO club, valid within 7 days of registration. If, after your trial visit, you’d like to become a member, go to evofitness.ch/memberships, select your preferred membership type (No Commitment Membership or 12-Month Membership), and complete the sign-up process.
* The 7-day trial gives you unlimited access to all EVO clubs in Switzerland for 7 consecutive days. If you enjoy EVO, there’s nothing more you need to do – on the 8th day, you’ll automatically become a member with the No Commitment Membership. However, if EVO isn’t the right fit for you, make sure to cancel your trial on MyEVO by the end of the 7th day.

Yes, you can. EVO Fitness is fully certified by Qualicert, confirming that our facilities meet high standards for safety and quality. This certification ensures that members are well supported during training and in case of emergencies.
As a result, EVO members may be eligible for a reimbursement of up to 90% of their annual membership fees, depending on their health insurance provider. This applies to both membership types – No Commitment and 12-Month Memberships.
